The Stamped Asphalt Surfacing System combines aesthetic appeal with functionality, offering a durable, versatile solution for pavement across a wide range of applications. Our stamped asphalt coatings have been developed with input from installers, polymer chemists and the manufacturer to provide a durable, slip-resistant and attractive, user-friendly coating.
This innovative system allows for the creation of visually appealing designs on asphalt surfaces, making it ideal for various streetscape applications including on roads, pathways, and parking lots. The system is applied by installers trained in stamping and coating asphalt surfaces. The owner or designer of the project can choose from several patterns and a combination of colors to create the desired look.
The process involves stamping freshly laid or reheated asphalt with templates to imprint the selected pattern(s), followed by the application of a polymer-modified coating for enhanced durability and color stability. Stamped asphalt coatings are applied at a minimum of 30 dry mils and as thick as 50 dry mils depending on the application. This technique not only beautifies the urban landscape but also provides a cost-effective, low-maintenance paving solution capable of withstanding harsh weather conditions.
